Sheffield-based Courteeners-style indie-poppers The Sherlocks have been arrested following the death of a female sound engineer at Leeds Festival on Saturday 27th August.
The sound engineer allegedly died of an aneurysm after listening to almost 2 minutes of their biggest hit “Heart of Gold”, something festival organisers have described “regrettable” and “unavoidable”.
Although no official statement has been made on behalf of the band, singer Kieran Crook tweeted:
“Died of an aneurysm? I guess our tunes really do get inside your head LOL [smiling emoji]”.
